Galinhos is a small oceanside village in the far north of Brazil. Poised on a thin peninsular. It can only be reached by a small fishing boat or by walking over the sand dunes that guard it from the mainland. The people make their living from the sea that surrounds them, and the few tourists that dare to venture. The village is however far from sleepy. After the boats come in the music is turned up, and the party starts, everyone loves to dance. North West Brazil, August 1999.
