St Patrick's Chapel, Heysham Head. Little is known as to when and why this chapel was built. Tradition has it St Patrick built it on his first trip over from Ireland. There is a 9th Century engraving and evidence of Viking use which means it dates back to at least Anglo Saxon days. It is likely it might have just have been a private chapel.
