Photographer's Diary
Friday 21st July - Heysham
I had been down to my father's house in Tonbridge for the best part of the week and was aware of missing some rare good weather. Returning on Thursday the clouds came in and I put off until Friday. I set my alarm for dawn but failed to rise - just too lazy. In the evening I set off and nearly turned back on several occasions due to haze that was overtaking the sky. Pressing on I visited a number of spots I was keen to photograph heading towards Heysham and finally reached the village. Returning at dawn the next morning, I found much better light and enjoyed a stroll along the sea front. Strange as it seems, I always vow to rise early more often on these sorts of occasions but rarely meet my objective.
