3rd December - Christmas Lights Turn On
As I pushed to the front of the Bay Radio road show in Market Square a PR man
grabbed me. You better get a tight shot as the lights are pretty dire. He was
right, and I did get the tight shot, of Santa throwing sweets to the kids and
the Town Mayor, pushing a plunger.
Sue Daswon (Hilton's wife) grabbed me as I moved from the stage, she wanted
some wedding prints. I continued to talk but felt I needed to move as there
was to be a second switch on at Dalton Square for Cancer Care.
Moving there I found Darren Andrews again, this time he had advice for me about
the football. Blackburn Rovers reserves were playing on Monday with Liverpool
reserves and it had been rumoured that Michael Owen was on the team sheet. Then
there was the Cambridge united FA cup also at Morecambe on Saturday. I said
I would try and make both. The lights came on and a few carols were sung, I
went home cold.
Pictures in this set were also taken at Lincoln Close in Morecambe. It had become
famous for it's lights.
