Photographer's Diary
28th & 30th December Snow
With the air shot called off I could finally look forward to a few days off.
That was until A.M. Thursday morning. I had got up to go to the bathroom and
following a possible forecast of snow I heard the previous evening, had gone
to the window to check the weather. It was white and thick white. I set my alarm
for 8 AM but found it hard to get back to sleep.
Rising, I went downstairs to find Michael already awake having been up earlier
to help a friend window cleaning. He offered to drive me and Maggie rose and
was keen to play. We skidded our way to Williamson Park. It was overcast, foggy
and white clear white. People were arriving at the park and throwing themselves
down the hills on anything they could find. Maggie left us and we set about
a tour of the area in the car, stopping at every possible picture. I ran into
town to pick up some film and continued shooting.
The following day I was visiting family in Birmingham and cursed the bright
skies, but they remained as did the snow to the next day, which gave me a morning
of picture taking around the area.
