Photographer's Diary
15 December Asda
It had taken an age to organise, but at last Adsa the largest supermarket in
the area had agreed to let me photograph. I turned up on time expecting an interrogation
and an escort, but got neither. "That's fine Mr Clark you are free to wander".
I wandered and made pictures but I felt like an impostor and was told "No"
by several people I asked to photograph. I continued but did not stay long.
I was really tired, the long term combined with the project had knocked me out
and I just wanted to sleep. On the way home I stopped to photograph Skirton
Bridge, and only sat for a short while before getting up and starting again
The day was bright and I did not want to loose the chance to take pictures.
Starting at St Martin's I went on to the Morecambe to photograph the city shopping
centre. It was hard as the light was poor, but I managed to get something. I
continued to walk and take pictures. Coming home I stopped to take the traffic.
This was becoming such a big issue, as the City snarled up all day in heavy
use and poor roads.
