Photographer's Diary
24th December The Granger Family
In the family trilogy I was still missing the professional family. Charlie Granger
was a consultant Anethesist and worked with Maggie in ICU. His wife was a GP
in Morecambe and they lived near Carnforth with their three children. Charlie
was a generous fun loving man with a wonderfully bubbly family. He agreed straight
away to the pictures and invited me around on Christmas Eve. It was perfect
for me as I moved into a series of pictures based around Christmas.
I turned up at 1 PM as suggested and met a barrage of apologies that little
was going on. He let me wander the house downstairs where I found plenty to
photograph. Granny had arrived for the festivities as well as the sister in
Law, currently working in Sri Lanka. Not a lot did happen but I was able to
capture the daily life and a little preparation for Christmas. There seemed
a lot still to do for them, but all was in hand.
