Photographer's Comments
24th & 25th December 2000
It was tradition that at Christmas the local Homeless centre ran a shelter for the period on Christmas Eve to New Year. Up until this point the shelter had always been based at Our Lady's youth centre, but this year there was a problem and a new venue was sort. A number of pleas in the local press led to St Thomas' church offering to host the shelter. I went down to photograph the opening for the local press and then returned on Christmas day for an hour or so.
The group picture taken
at the Kitchen Hatch was shot on a digital camera, borrowed from work and was
my first published digital picture.
