The ward sister in the blue dress is Anne Craig, who is leaving the ward in the new year to commence a years secondment as nurse specialist. At the time the picture was taken she was 43 years old with three children,Matthew 22, Sarah,18 and Thomas 16. She loves her children more than anything else, and hopes that if one of their ancestors sees the picture in 100 years time, they will say a little prayer for her family, no longer on this earth.At the moment they all live in a house on Borrowdale rd in Lancaster. Will it still be standing in 100 years time. Annes maiden name was Thorne, so you might find other members of her family around the place.
