Duck Racing
On the way home, I drove through Galgate looking for a duck race I had read about in the paper. One woman two children and a dog stood by a sign - Galgate Duck Race. I stopped, and went to find out what was happening. It was a charity event undertaken to raise money for children's activities in the village. People sponsored plastic ducks, they were thrown in the river and the first one to pass a line down stream won a prize. Good idea.
Waiting 15 minutes to the start saw the gathering of a small crowd. Two brave men, hopped into the water, they were to follow the ducks and help out those in trouble. It started I grabbed a few frames and then legged it to the finish, another short wait and the leading ducks appeared. I shot a few more frames.
