DJ Clark first described himself as a multimedia journalist back in 1994 while single-handedly covering the British Winter Special Olympic team for TV, radio and print. He now has over 30\u00a0years experience working with media organisations across the world as a video producer, photojournalist, presenter, writer, trainer and multimedia consultant.<\/p>\n
Based in Hong Kong, DJ is currently Multimedia Director at\u00a0China Daily Asia Pacific<\/a>, host and producer of the adventure travel show Drone & Phone<\/a>, video advisor to the\u00a0Asia News Network\u00a0<\/a>and course leader for the University of Bolton<\/a> MA in Visual Design. Previously DJ was a\u00a0regular contributor to\u00a0The Economist<\/a>,\u00a0BBC\u00a0radio<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0National Geographic<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n DJ has won numerous awards for his work throughout his career. In 2020 his\u00a0film Battleground PolyU<\/a> won seven international prizes including World Press Photo Interactive of the Year<\/a> and was nominated for a Webby<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Both as a practitioner and researcher DJ has a deep interest in visual journalism as a tool for change in the Majority World. In 2009 he completed a\u00a0PhD at the University of Durham<\/a>\u00a0that focused on the subject and has gone on to write and speak extensively on the issue. He has taught at the\u00a0Asia Center for Journalism<\/a>, been\u00a0a tutor for\u00a0World Press Photo<\/a>\u00a0&\u00a0British Council<\/a>\u00a0workshops, was a co-founder\/tutor of\u00a0Multimedia Train<\/a>\u00a0and is co-host of the\u00a0Multimedia Week<\/a> and Hong Kong History<\/a> podcasts\u00a0.
