Photographic Culture Experiment

Can you tell the difference between a Chinese and a British photographer?
Is there a difference in style, visual language, influence?

On the 9th September 2004, D J Clark brought a group of five student photographers to photograph a community near Zhaoqing University in China. The photographers were all second or third year university BA students specialilizing in photography. some were from Zhaoqing University and some had only arived two days ago from the UK and had never visited China before.

The group spent about two hours following Rosa, a charity worker, with the brief that they were to take pictures to use as a part of a fund raising campaign for the community projects with which she worked.

Please take time to look at examples of each photographer's work and then e-mail me which photographers you think are Chinese and which are British. Any comments concerning why would also be helpful.
